Lol...Death and "Crystal Mountain" have
that effect. It is nearly always Death that
broaden metal heads to the more
extreme genres. It's a shame that
those fucking Cannibal Corpse are
compared to Death

True Death Metal clothing = Denim and a cotton shirt. Why? You need to be comfortable to rock the fuck out!

@JuhoPK
Errr, Symbolic was the album when he introduced these type of vocals. (Though they did get a little bit more higher on The Sound of Perseverance)

Chuck R.I.P.? No! May Chuck never rest in peace, may he tear the cosmos asunder from the other side! May he shred time and space to create new universes and metal worlds!

Fantastic, one of my favorite songs from what may well be my favorite album of Chuck's. He sounds REALLY high pitched here, not guttural at all, unusual. Who was backing him at this time? That slow middle part is just CRUSHING, and it takes my breath away--and it was only tuned down to D, as well--proof you don't need a 7-string tuned down to G to be heavy. The ending solos are so beautiful even on electric guitar and it made me tear up a little to remember how long he's been gone now. |
