@TheGirlyLolita Ok, yes, I had such professors at University. They act bored, arrogant... and such a pedogogical style is not just "uncaring", it is downright insulting. That represents a problem with the personel, perhaps all the way up the ladder, but not a problem with the system or structure. More private universities is the answer, as well as accredidation of online remote learning universities. The arrogant professoriat must have their incomes slashed.

@sega310982 "the school system is too (quantifier, yes) one-sided". What scale do youi use to make this judgement? Was the scale handed to from Zeus himself when you were his guest on Olympus? Why, tell us, should adult taxpers pay for the "creative" education of students, which has little social dividend, and when already we are awash in creativity beyond imagining? There is a glut of creativity. And what, you can't learn music on your own? But so many have. Are you puffing out?

@rh001YT I was lucky to have the internet, so after finishing school I could learn all by myself, of course I've also read books but I used the internet as an example only. If you want to learn as much as possible, you will learn as much as possible. I really can't understand your reply, does it bother you I learn over the internet? Do you want me to limit my information sources to one? o.0 Do you think the internet is Satan's tool?

@rh001YT Uhm... I'm pretty sure most geniuses didn't learn everything from school, they MUST have been studying on their own as well. I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say. My teachers used to come in class and start talking like a news anchor, there was no time "to be putting the whole picture together in your mind", because you had to write what they were saying "word.. word..word..word...and so on", you were focused on writing rather than understanding. They didn't care.

@JogaBonitofootball I won´t waste my time with you sucker. Now go listen to his annoying jokes.
JogaBonitofootball (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@tornadoazul if you skip to 12 minutes you miss important parts fuck face. It's not meant to be pleasing to you it's meant to be understood. If you're a bitch you start at 12 minutes. If you're not a bitch you start it at 00:00 and end at 20:04. He's a brilliant man and every word he says should be heard in this speech.

@rh001YT
That's not the point I was trying to make. I know it's not a choice to have your brain configured a certain way. I'm saying that the school system is too one-sided. At a certain point you HAVE to choose between a right-brained curriculum or a left-brain curriculum. Many people (including most males) are centrists, so it is difficult because they're practically only allowed to use one side all the time. School does focus on accuracy, which may inhibit creativity, but only a bit IMO |
