wow the responses here are ridiculous. haha im not bashing either cuz im a muscle car man and own a 93 325is but get real people american muscle is what it stands for. muscle. really high hp and massive amounts of tq. but theres only one place that those stats can be used. the strip. american cars are heavy and cant take corners like bimmers or other german cars. hell even japs make there cars for turns. german cars are designed for taking tight turns at higher speeds. this is where they excel.

Your basing a car on drag racing ,lol. I'd take any M3 over any Clamaro . Clamaro's are just cheesy , there ugly. There Interior's are made out of low grade plastic that rattles and creaks over bumps and simply looks like shyt. Cheesy seats and dashboard. Not to mention they handle like a rock going up-hill .They tend to become rattle boxes that do not hold there value . I bought a 98 M3 3 year's ago and just sold it for 500$ less than what i paid for it .

the corvette is a two seater.... HUGE difference in styling between the M5 and vette. different purposes. the vette is purely a two-seater weekend car, while the m5 is quite different.

BMWs have luxury on top of performance. try getting in a Chevrolet and finding 'luxury'.. you'll need 6 rolls of duct tape and a few prayers to keep it from falling apart in your hands.

you're talking about the engine right? the LS7 power to weight ratio is the goal for a car, not an engine. it's helps make the car better if the engine is lighter, but it isn't the end goal of the engine. but yeah, i see what you mean. it's pretty surprising that the LS7 weighs less. and where'd you get the weights? cause it depends what parts of the engine are being included in the weight.
