Lotus Simulations L-39 Albatros for FSX
Introducing the Lotus Simulations L-39C Albatros for Flight Simulator X.
Over 15 months in the making, this L-39 brings to the table a unique set of traits and never before seen features.
Built for the greater demands of multiplayer formation flight and designed from the ground up for Shared Cockpit online training, this aircraft is like no other addon available.
Features:
-Highly accurate systems, such as hydraulics, electrical bus functions, ram air turbine, saphir starter, EGT limiter, pressurization, oxygen, anti-ice, and many more. Some systems can have serious consequences if ignored.
-High performance external model and highly optimized VC for best possible framerates, and with no holes or missing parts, making it extremely Track-ir friendly.
-Both front and rear cockpits modeled in full detail and using entirely 3D gauges for smooth, stutter free flight.
-Totally unique new landing light system that actually properly illuminates the ground, a first for a Flight Simulator aircraft. The landing lights also illuminate raindrops that fall in front of the bulbs.
-Red and white instrument lights that properly illuminate the 3D gauges, ie: needles get realistically brighter as they move towards the gauge light sources.
-All lights built into the model itself, with none of the separation and clipping problems associated with normal effect based lights. Strobe lights also cast light on the ground.
-The return of VC Canopy rain effects! This is another first for a true FSX native aircraft.
-Progressive icing effects that accumulate over time, obscuring vision and showing on the surfaces of the aircraft. Fly into icing conditions and you may find yourself in some trouble.
-Highly accurate flight model, capable of both stable spins and sideslips, with performance based on the real world L-39 operating handbook and on personal flight experience in a real L-39. Flight tested by L-39C owners.
-25 models included, with 14 unique paint schemes. These include single seat VC versions, a Reno racer variant, and a special stripped down and ultra high performance model for those who participate in online formation teams. 5 models also feature VC integration and compatibility for Reality XP GNS430 GPS owners.
-Full 3D spatial sound set provided by Turbine Sound Studios, and including AI traffic sounds for multiplayer flight. Almost all switches, systems, and cockpit functions have associated sounds as well.
The manual for the aircraft is available for viewing prior to purchase. Free extra paint schemes and a paint kit are also provided. All of these are available at the Lotus Simulations website.
