I'm 20 and I SOOOO want my first car to be and electric one. They are so quite, they dont make bad stuff for the environment and there is almost no maintence. Probably wont happen, because of oil industry. :/

I will say it's weird that the EV's which were made in 1996 or 97 got better mileage than the new Volt with a so called more advanced battery. technology speaking there's no reason why the Volt shouldn't get 200+ mileage. especially if the front wheels are generating electrically which recharge some of the battery. while the back wheels actually move the car aka rear wheel drive, this isn't rocket science people...!

So why doesn't GM just bring back the EV1? The Chevy Volt is a start, but how do they expect the middle man to afford such a pricey car?

Ron Corvus from Denver tried to bring chinese electric cars to the US...for years. the big auto companies and their despot corporate owned senators/congressman have done everything they can to stop the electric car in the US. No you wont see any of this on corporate owned media.
