@CrusaderAmerica A republic isn't used my social scientists to refer to a form of governance actually. A republic is too vague. The United States is viewed as a Presidential Democracy. Just one with a really fucked up electoral system.

Wrong we are not a democracy we are a Republic, name one document the founding fathers wrote where it says we are a Democracy. there isn't: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and the REPUBLIC for which it stands, one Nation, under God, with liberty and Justice for all. Majority rule is for the Greeks, the rule by law was for the old Roman Republic. We are the Republic like that of the Romans, NOT the Greeks
