This past decade, she "sold" the secret to the highest bidder (Dick Ebersol of NBC Sports fame) for $50K for a Martha's Vineyard charity. He's not supposed to reveal who it is either. It's an intriguing puzzle & that's why people still "give a $h*t" about it. It's just fun to wonder.

Is she still milking that old cow. If you wont say dont hint. The song wasnt all that anyway. Listening to it now it sounds dated. Which isnt the hallmark of a great song.

my gut has always said that this song was written about "everyman" not one single man but a composite of every man to hear it and wonder who it was about. which fits with the fact that every clue she's shared has been a letter from the name of the person she shared it with.

Yeah, but one of the song's lyrics says "You had me blah, blah, blah..." I take that to mean that she and the Mystery Man slept together at one point. Geffin's as gay as the day is long. |
