http://www.greenpeace.org/inte... Ghana is the latest place where we have discovered high tech toxic trash causing horrendous pollution. Our analysis of samples taken from two electronic waste (e-waste) scrap yards in Ghana has revealed severe contamination with hazardous chemicals. Digg it: http://digg.com/world_news/Poi...

This is exporting useless junk to poor countries and not much more. It is illegal for some countries to do it, but there is no enforcement of the laws. Once again useless laws on the books that are not followed or enforced upon.

So why don't people use the electronic products they bought with their hard earned money as long as possible? More money could be saved for more important things such as food, houses, cars or even renewable energy investment. More 'educated' people need to learn the true meaning of 3 Rs most importantly RECYCLE instead of throwing everything to landfills...... Learn to be responsible to our own kind (humans), apart from the environment...........

This is an unintentionally racist video by Greenpeace. Exhaustive documentation of the WEEE import trade in Ghana shows that 85% is reused, and what is shown in the film is residue (15%) or exhausted product. Look at the video of used TVs unloaded in this very video, carefully wrapped in plastic. The video implies that everyone who goes to a hospital winds up directly at the morgue. Interview the Techs and Geeks who buy and fix this, Greenpeace.
