@lenxrin4eva All in all, it's a horror story combining both psych thriller, hideous murder and who-done-it aspects as well as mystery, crime and (in the final arc) scifi genre bits. It's fairly confusing at first, but if you're good at putting the pieces together yourself, you'll learn exactly what's going on. I still can't find any of the second season, but it's not a necessity to get the gist of the first season.

The English title of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is actually "When the Cicadas Cry" just as Umineko no Naku Koro ni is "When the Seagulls Cry"

@lenxrin4eva It's a murder mystery with some fantasy and sci-fi in a small village. There is some gore but it doesn't dominate the anime can if you skip if you don't miss much of the story :) At first it's pretty confusing to what's happening but if you watch the entire two seasons it becomes clear. I hate gore but this is my favourite anime, I'd definitely recommend it <3

@lenxrin4eva without spoiling much: it's about people of a small town. The main character transfers to that town and finds about it's dark past... Yes it's very bloody and disturbing anime :D If you like good horror then you should try watching it! |
