@bellableu62 Why is it racist?

@Gettheledoutstyle and some of the "plagiarism" can be explained.. not all but some things are tenuous at best that people claim is stolen when its just a bullshit claim..some were just traditional things that noone owns and some standards.. they werent perfect in crediting but lets relax this band are gods on their own merit and its going overboard to suggest otherwise no doubt about it.

@DougStoneent but examples like whole lotta love it was just the lyrics pages riff is 100 percent original.. and it was more traditional blues lyrics in the early years for plant over time he became a fine writer..sometimes they did fuck up by not crediting i blame peter grant mostly not the band.. if they just credited when needed there wouldnt be a problem.. they have PLENTY of classic originals that nobody could ever think to write beside this band.. people get carried away with this..

Sadly, if you go to the videos Led Zeppelin Plagiarism Part 1 and Part 2 you'll learn that Zeppelin stole songs and riffs constantly, lyrics and all and did not give proper credit. Artists like Willie Dixon sued them and settled out of court.

@Gettheledoutstyle Hmm.. point taken, but you must admit, the two songs ARE very similar.. for what it's worth, I stress that I believe Page was merely influenced by Taurus, and not that he intentionally copied their work
Gettheledoutstyle (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@TheGreeneyedstone the only problem imop is they never reference this song when the biographies say he stole it just taurus so i think some biographies are flawed..
TheGreeneyedstone (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@Gettheledoutstyle It wasn't my intention to infer that Mr. Page ever admitted to having Spirit as an inspiration, only that he admits that Davy Graham;s Cry Me A River was. It is my own opinion that he was influenced by Spirit as I do know that Spirit was one of the bands that Zeppelin toured with early on and I am not alone in that suspicion. It is mentioned in many biographies about Mr. Page and Led Zeppelin and that is what i intended to point out. apologies for not being clear, ty for input

@TheGreeneyedstone which song are you saying page freely admits he got it from? ive read where he says he got it from davy graham but denies any influence from spirit who made taurus
