I hope people can appreciate the Orthodox elements in this movie. the sisterhood of the blessed sacrament, Dracul's church, the Order of the Dragon, and even the liturgical music playing at the end is Orthodox. much of that Orthodox 'feeling' throughout this movie can be found in our Orthodox christian churches today.

@AdinaJackson I think we are still capable of that level of commitment and love, it's just that modernism and materialism have poisoned us. Maybe a good apocalypse is in order... you know, to level the playing field... maybe not who knows?

@GlendaCockran-Of course, it's not Stoker. It's something else entirely, very moving and very beautiful.

It seems that all the comments here are based on that dreadful romantic movie version of Bram Stokers "Dracula". If any of you had taken the time to read the book you would see that this is a shambles and not a true depiction of the origional at all. "Dracula" is a Devil, a Killer and a Vampire who would kill you in an instant and the only "love" intrest he has is that of warm blood. Please read the book, stop pretending you had by describing this dirt, don`t watch this shit, this is not Stoker! |
