It kind of is, Walt Disney wanted the Jungle Cruise to have live animals which proved too dangerous, so kilimanjaro safaris was a way of finaly achiving that dream.

I remember years ago when the gorilla reaching for the banannas on the box was different. He was feeding a crocodile and the elephant next to Trader Sam was also not there until just recently.

@TheDisneyPenguin I hate when people ruin a classic ride like the Jungle Cruise and you have to have respect for a ride that has been there for 50 years.

Ty for having this video online. The skipper that was featured in this video just recently passed away and is greatly missed by his family and his jungle cruise family. We're so glad that you captured him doing what he loved so much. |
