This video uses http://www.bin95.com/ Electrical Troubleshooting Simulation software to teach you how to troubleshoot an electrical motor control circuit. At the end is just an example how our software uses realworld workorder system to track student while doing electrical troubleshooting with our simulation software, and the detailed analysis report. (helps student learn better ways to troubleshoot.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

@hot567654 I just quickly glanced at that, and obviously, if the 3 phase are going to the circuit UP TO the fuse, then this changes after any fuse, we could surmise that something blew that fuse. Once confirmed, I'd use a ohmeter to check the motors windings, & then a megger to check for grounds either in the motor or wiring to it. If possible, turn that motor shaft to check it for frozen /jammed . Get a mechanic to remove any driven loads from the motor & run it to be sure.

@electRon330 When ever I go into a panel, whether it be for disconnect or what ever, I made it common practice to tighten ALL connections. Since we all know they loosen over time.

I agree with comments about unnecessary single phasing, when "dead" resistance testing would show local panel wiring continuity better and with less potential damage. Good basic procedure but real world faults can be even worse, a lot worse! Oxidised connections after they are loose (fucked contactor)- should insulation test windings at 500v, not 9v. poor design- should have triple pole device for protection and o/l tripped indicator, etc, etc.! Sorry but theres no substitute for real world...

This is a pretty useful training guide for any beginning electrician.

@Hugstyggr : You can get the full version at BIN95 dot COM website. hover cursor over 'Training Products' button, click 'Training Software Only' link. The name of the software in this video is "Advanced Industrial Troubleshooting Simulation Training Software", so clicking on that link takes you to software page you requested.

How can I get the full version of this program?

@BossRob24 If you want to be an industrial electrician, like in a manufacturing plant, I can tell you any additional PLC training you can get is your most valuable asset towards furthering your career. with the housing market as it is, residential electrician apprentice jobs may be difficult to find. Industrial electrician apprentice is another option to better your odds.
