@gesh2009 This video was meant to be more informative than funny. Here, Rick just gives a glimpse to average Canadians of how the Parliament works using a little humour and satire. Try watching his other videos on the channel especially when he goes to visit places or his parodies of commercials. If not, then I guess that Rick is not for everyone. Rick's a political satirist - he makes fun of politicians and politics in general. He's been in places that we, Canadians, only dream of.

I just wasted 6.43 minutes of my life watching this idiot from the CBC. I was told he was a funny Canadians and would make me laugh . As I never watch the CBC I though I would give him a chance on you tube. All I can say as a tax payer who me and my follow Canadians contribute 2 billion dollar a year in hand outs to the CBC and that is what we get. Nothing funny here I am in tears!!

Fact is, she has been on the screens for decades, she is a trusted figure in this country. Her integrity was never challenged, and canadian people like her. Seeing the new dude, I miss her already.

@AkivaII These are still not a prediction... You just reduce to scale to deal with microeconomics rather than the full pictures. You still finish with an estimation within a certain margin : just like the meteorologist does (max of, min of) rather than the climatologist... Except that the meteorologist and climatologist have one big advantage : it's easier to collect data with meteo than with economic, and the statistical&mathematical tools are rather similar.

@therrydicule
What of praxeology, and the identifying of trends and dispositions?
therrydicule (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@AkivaII It's not the job of economist to make predictions. I been clearly warned 7 times in the 4 courses of economics I had took: it is not a prediction game, all an economist do is give a rational expectation with many warning (if this, and if that). Plus, they kind of saw it coming: a survey given by the FRBNY in October 2006 say that 65% of "forecaster" expected something between 1% growth or less for 2007&2008 combine. It just that the system is full of gamblers.

hahaha i do enjoy rmr's comments but i do difuse his comment, who is the leader right now? obvisously canadians feel differently about our leader and who should be in charge.otherwise there would be a different leader. and also the govenor general is supposed to be a born canadian and she isnt. so rmr's comments arent entirely accurate, do your fuckin homework before u lip off!! |
