So you were in the immediate vicinity of one taking off?! Wow, that's cool and you traveled over for it too! That's great NSRWORLD! Which one did you see launching or should I say 'witness'!? Thanks for the comment, Al!

0:08 that awesome sound and the sight of the shuttle literally trying to pull away without being released gave me chills. just another reminder of the power and science this wonder is engineered from

Forget watching the video(s) guys... if you're in the States get out to KSC and actually watch one take off!
I've made the trip from the UK more than once (and for a while lived in FL close enough to see launches from the back yard!), and time is running out to see it in real life! NOTHING compares to the rush seeing and hearing it live.
I still can't believe I even met people in FL when I lived there that had never seen a live launch... incredible!

Awesome launch as usual! It gets better every time as NASA adds something new to its TV coverage. First it was the SRB cam, then came Hi-Def. Now comes the amazing audio of the rockets!!! AWESOME!!! I watched the launch through my massive home theater system, and OMG, I could hardly contain myself. My whole house was shaking and my eyes got all watery. Later in the day when I stepped out, my neighbor across the street asked me: "What the hell was that, a space shuttle launch ?" -- OH YEAH BABY!!
