Chapter 16 (Fuzzy Numbers): Dr. Martenson explores how inflation and GDP are measured, how their measurement has changed over years, and what that means concerning the integrity of these government statistics. Substitution, Weighting, Imputations, and Hedonics and their effects on calculating inflation and GDP are each examined. Dr. Martenson traces the social impact of these shady statistics, and finishes by showing how a dishonest determination of inflation further deforms an already flawed GDP calculation. http://www.chrismartenson.com

The Government just asks for the loan from the treasury and the run to the privately owned for profit and not audible "federal reserve" banking cartel and they print the money with your and your kids birth certificate as collateral. Look it up you are owned by the "UNITED STATES" a corporate entity made in the act of 1871...you are an asset...you are there bet on the future. Unfortunately we are an asset also a problem because we cost the UNITED STATES money with the benefits we get~ SS

Hedonics does not factor planned obsolescence. Devastating! I used to sell copiers and fax machines. Up until the 1980's office equipment was built to last 20 years. Now it's build to expire at 35 months. Forcing new purchases. This is true amongst all technologies and has a detrimental impact on both personal and businesses bottom lines.

@Allisa4757 FYI I would be willing to bet the reason that they check your credit score is that your financial status is the single best indicator by far of your likelihood of committing a crime during your employment. For example imagine if you have a gambling problem and are drowning in debt, you are a much greater risk of stealing cash or some other form of theft from your employer.

My job was essentially a healthcare technicians job that required only common sense and an ability to work with the elderly, to be able to be taught how to give medical injections and handle vomiting patients, to be able to operate a camera, to load film, to work under the direction of a physician (ophthalmologist). Now that part of my past job almost requires a degree in physics to handle flourescein??

My job in 1983 ...23,000 per year. I stayed home as a mom for umteen years. In 2007 I went looking seriously again. My SAME job now paid 35,000 per year. WOW!!! And I SIGN TO ALLOW THEM TO SEE MY CREDIT SCORE??? I left thinking what does my credit score have to do with my work experience. I can do this job. What is going on here?

The government might as well hire the guys from Enron and Worldcom to do the accounting, Bernie Madeoff to run the bond selling ponzi scheme and Helen Keller to supervise over them all.

@Sokra01 Funny, I wrote this comment: "The problems with government comes not so much when they start lying but when they start believing their own lies." And I think this was what caused the collapse of USSR. and then read the previous comment, yours, and we were saying the same thing!

20 years ago there was a nation that faked his economic data like the US did. The country was called Sovjet Union but I can´t find it on the global map any more.
