@mralanv most likely people who lived on mars would live in a more communistic type of society or a corporate government, doubt things would be based upon free markets, most likely it would be ration cards and assigned housing.

The first government, or corporation that colonizes mars, will control the rest of the solar system and any interstellar travel for the next 5000 years, militarily its alot easier to launch platforms/missiles/craft from mars than earth, far enough away to hide things being made, and strategically the best candidate for a large colony, just sayin.....

People have always had a fascination with Mars. I believe it will be a while before the next generations colonize it. I feel sorry for the people who will live there though. If on Earth you have to pay for electricity, gas,water, food, in Mars you will have to pay double the price for all that PLUS the oxygen you're breathing. Companies will profit alot from a colony on Mars, that's why I think it will happen in the future, because this things only come to life if it's profitable to somebody.

I feel sorry for the poor little robot. It got stuck in loose sand and will probably not be able to get out. Had a life expectancy of 90 earth days, but lasted 6 years
